Ephesians 3:16-19 (KJV)
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
The INNER MAN. There is so much to be said about "the inner man", so little understood by so many, but so important. We must FEED daily our inner man. OUR SPIRIT, our very essence of who we are, that part of us that communes with GOD is our inner man.
IF we do not feed and strengthen and nourish that part of us, we will have no communion with GOD because we will have sin in our lives, and HE will not and cannot have fellowship with anything unclean and impure. But John tells is in his book in chapter 1 and verse 9 that "IF we confess our sins HE is faithful to forgive us our sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness".
May I encourage you to strengthen and feed your inner man daily? Read HIS WORD, PRAY, and commune with GOD.
IF you do not like to do these things now, YOU will not like HEAVEN either. There, you will be in HIS presence all the time. So strengthen the inner man. A strong innerman will help keep you from temptation and from sin, and will help in your daily communion with our GOD and our Savior!
