Ecclesiastes 12:13 (KJV)
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
That kind of says it all. The word FEAR does not mean be terrified of, though we should.
It means having a REVERENT AWE as in acknowledging HIM for WHO HE IS, the one who is able to destroy both body and soul......
Remember that GOD has no beginning or end. Jesus said before Abraham was, I am. That means He had no beginning or end also.
The Word eternal means always having been and lasting forever. GOD is ETERNAL .
Every man, woman, and child has a birthday. A day we were conceived and became a living SOUL. A day of creation. A day of conception.
WE HAVE a beginning. OUR spirit and soul have no ending. They will live on forever. We are made AFTER hiw own likeness (image). Our bodies cannot live forever because they are corrupt and cannot enter into heaven nor withstand eternity. GOD will supply us with new, incorruptible bodies.
Hence, man is EVERLASTING. God is eternal. man is everlasting. And the whole, complete, entire DUTY of MAN is worship and reverence GOD.
