We remember when the original Star Trek came into our lives in 1966 and how much we loved the characters that we found there. We were seventeen years old at the time and the world was our oyster.
Leonard Nimoy as Spock was among our favorite characters on the show. We came to love his Vulcan logic and the great sincerity that he expressed in everything that he did. He was incapable of anything but sincerity and truth because he knew nothing else. And, we loved his logical approach to things. To Spock, there was a logic to almost everything, and, anything that did not possess it was simply illogical and he could not understand it.
We are now about to become sixty six years old and we have seen so many illogical things throughout our life. And, when we encounter them, we usually think of how Spock would have responded to them in some way or another. We have had forty nine years of that Vulcan logic to see us through and we will miss Leonard Nimoy and all that he embodied for us through the years to come when we know that so many more illogical things will surely come our way.
Mr. Spock always said that he would be our friend and that he wished that we would “live long and prosper” and we are trying our best to do just that. But it must be prosperity in the Vulcan way with all things shared and all beings lifted up in any way that we possibly can. It is the only logical thing!

To say that "God exists" is the greatest understatement ever made across space and time.
