If you go back and actually READ the item I originally referenced, it was NOT about Muslims killing people, but rather it was about a 'contest' and exhibit of cartoons depicting the prophet being held in Garland. Texas. Now I'm sure that what motivated the people organizing this 'event' was NOT doing it out of some desire to exhibit the works of local artists simply for the sake of art. They were doing it as an insult and attack on a group of people who are different then themselves and they knew exactly what they were doing and how it would be received by the Muslim community and they didn't give a God damn either. My comment was simply that they too would be outraged and demanding that it be stopped if someone in Saudi Arabia had done the same thing only having Jesus as the subject. How can you say that my supposition would have proven incorrect? You know damn well what the reaction would have been. And the people organizing the event in Garland, TX also KNEW DAMN WELL WHAT THE REACTION WOULD BE AMOUNG THE MUSLIM COMMUNITY and they were doing this because that's exactly what they wanted, to insult a group of people based on their religious beliefs. What would your views have been if this Texas event was looking to depict Jewish prophets, such as Isaiah or Moses, in cartoons? Would you consider it as being just another 'art' exhibit and something the local Jewish community should have accepted as simply an exhibit of the works of local 'artists'?
As for your comment about chemical weapons, yes, the Iraqis still had chemical weapons after the first Gulf War, but they were forced to dispose of them and from all the evidence available they did just that, removing the chemical material and destroy them and all that was left were the empty shell casings, which are not so easy to destroy. How it that being in possession of 'chemical weapons'? All of the evidence found after the Cheney/Bush invasion showed that the Iraqis had indeed done what the UN had demanded of them, that they destroy their arsenal of chemical weapons. The fact that the EMPTY shell casings where found in trash dumps does not constitute there being stockpiles of chemical weapons in Iraq.
