Zim> I suspect a heavy dose of capitalism tempered with
appropriate regulation and a small, stingy, social
'safety net' might do the trick.

OCU> So you support the so-called 'tinkle-down' approach to economics, eh?

Not even close.
Did I say anything about 'trickle down'?
Did I make any suggestions about how the government
should shower tons of money on the rich hoping some
of it might filter down through the food chain to the
poor?

Not even close numbnutz.

In essence, I said 'turn the capitalists loose'.
Allow those who finance and start businesses to do
what they do best.

I also said 'We' need lots of relatively cheap power.
So our manufacturies can expand and employ more guys
in good paying jobs making things and creating value.

I really don't care where the power comes from, as long
as it is plentiful and cheap. If you want non-carbon
emitting power, open Yucca Mountain.

So you support the so-called 'tinkle-down' approach to economics, eh? Why do you think that it would work now when it's been shown several times that it never does? This was part of what become known as 'Voodoo' economics back when Saint Ronald was running for president the first time. It didn't work then and it won't work now.
