I can. This is Republican turf. The job creators get the profits and society pays their costs.

It's a fine example of unregulated market forces in action. There's no money for an oil company in protecting the drinking water of towns downstream. Let alone wildlife.
What matters - the only thing that matters - is maximising profit. Investors require it. The CEO is incentivised towards that goal.
The only body we have that can grind down the rough side of capitalism is government. But in Republican territory, the principle is that negative externalities do not exist.
Why voters put up with it is beyond me.
