...the F35 only costs One Hundred Nineteen million dollars each, so it's not important that they won't stand up to ground fire as well as the warthog.

The A-10 'Warthog' is a proven piece of technology that
just keeps proving its value in the 'War on Terror'
over and over and over again.

It can absorb an awful lot of ground fire, and still
accomplish its mission. Between its 30 mm gatling gun
and its ability to use precision munitions it gives
American ground troops un-paralleled air support.

The sort of enemies we might need the F-35 to combat . . .
They are the sort we might have to exchange nukes with.
For terrorists and most others, the B-52 from high
altitude, and the Warthog for close in low level
air support.
