Cop Took Camera From Disabled Resident
Sgt. Naomi Penrod of Yellow Springs, Ohio, is facing criminal charges for using force to take away a camera from a disabled person who was recording police activity. Penrod is being charged with interfering with civil rights, assault, and disorderly custody. The village manager, Patti Bates, said that while Penrod has been placed on administrative leave with pay, “we must wait for the resolution of the criminal process and the village has a legal obligation to ensure the administrative due process rights of its employee are respected.”
