I think it will just be up to a foot of snow. The storm looks tiny on the map, and local weather for areas around where you are have changed to 5-8 inches on Monday night and "snow" on Tue.

I think there's too much bullshit flying about right now. It's ok to be prepared, but I think it's going to be a doozy.

We'll see...........:-)

New York Prepares for Blizzard Amid Warnings of Closings and Hazards

Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Sunday that the storm approaching on Monday was likely to be one of the biggest to ever strike New York City, and he urged people to stay indoors to avoid powerful winds, low visibility and “treacherous” road conditions.

Schools will be open on Monday but are likely to close on Tuesday, Mr. de Blasio said. Alternate side of the street parking has been canceled, along with the city’s annual count of the homeless population, which had been scheduled for Monday night.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo issued a statement warning of possible closings, including the New York State Thruway, Interstate 84 and the Long Island Expressway. He also warned that public transit networks operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority could be closed ahead of the evening commute.
