hi clo,

surprise! unrestrained capitalism goes hand in hand with problems for those downstream. in this case literally.

but no one learns. it repeats over and over. and loud voices tell you the market must be free of regulation.

it has a name in economics. these things are called negative externalities. they are uncontroversial. but cross into the political arena in the usa and unreality takes over.

these folks will turn the usa into a wasteland if it makes them rich.
