Netscape Co-Founder ID'd As Buyer Of Ron Howard Estate On Armonk Border
by Tom Renner
GREENWICH, Conn. -- The co-founder of Netscape and his fourth wife have been identified as the buyers of the Greenwich estate formerly owned by actor-director Ron Howard, according to a story in the New York Post.
Jim Clark, 70, and his wife, Kristy Hinze, bought the home on the Greenwich/Armonk border in July for $27.5 million. The home went on the market in May. Hinze, 35, is a model for Victoria’s Secret.
The purchase is the largest in Westchester history, according to The Post.

Howard and his family lived at the 32-acre estate Conyers Farm for more than two decades. The home contains 23 rooms, including six bedrooms and five full baths. There are also four half-baths.
Interior features include seven fireplaces, a fitness room, indoor pool, home office, wine cellar and, of course, a home theater. There is also a two-bedroom guest cottage, greenhouses, an observatory and barns.
The property went to contract two weeks after it become available.
Douglas Elliman’s Frank Haymson represented Clark. Tamar Lurie of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Previews and Lyn Stevens, Beverley Toepke, Robin Kencel and Scott Elwell with Fieldstone Group with Sotheby’s International Realty represented Howard.
