ps In case you are wondering, Moslems are not a race. Islam is a belief system. It is permissible to want something to change about a person when it is not coded into their DNA. A culture in which the belief system specifically encourages the death of apostates and homosexuals, as well as the treatment of women and non-believers as second-class, is one I have no difficulty wishing to be elsewhere.
Jews are a semitic people and a strikingly impressive one at that. A Jew cannot avoid being a Jew. It is deeply offensive to be prejudiced about Jewish people merely because they are Jewish. But actually, I don't have to fall back on the wish to avoid seeming to be racist. I celebrate the Jewish people because they are worth celebrating. Look at the contributions of Jews in every culture in which they participate. Someone show me the diaspora of Jewish terrorism. It does not exist.
If I am French and I am made to choose, because Moslem extremists force a choice, I'd rather keep Jews and lose Moslems. In this case, Sophie's choice isn't so difficult.
