Not that per sea, just that it has been argued by those on the Right that the Keystone Pipeline will bring Canadian crude to Texas which will help to increase the domestic supply of refined products, such as gas, diesel, heating oil and JP. But if it's shipped overseas instead, how is that going to help?
The Right can't have it both ways, either Keystone is intended to increase our domestic supply of refined products or it isn't. What's it going to be? If the majority of the oil is destined for overseas consumption, then say that up front when the arguments are being made to build the pipeline. Otherwise it's all just a lie to get something that they know the American public would be against if they were told the truth. Besides, if the Canadians are that dead-set on selling their oil to China and Europe, why not build pipelines across Canada to one of their East or West coast ports?
