We had rain yesterday afternoon and into the evening with snow down to as low as the 2000 ft level. All of the passes out of the LA basin were closed at one time or another so I guess you could say that for awhile, something like 20 million people were 'snowed in' Wink

But after the rain stopped the wind picked-up and we had as high as 45 mph winds overnight and it was around 37º early this morning. The house was really cold when we got up.

Yesterday some (1/4 inch) rain, lotsa wind - and a light dusting of snow on the nearby hills in back of UCR. From my house, we see the San Bernardino Mountains have decent snow of them. Today is the coldest day of the year at a high of 50 degrees. My granddaughter - visiting here from Germany tells me - "In weather like this at home - the people would be lining up in big crowds to get into the swimming pool!" She gets her exagerration from her Opa. Smile

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!!

Very Happy
