Hi micro,

Yes I got your emails but I hadn't read them before I got ArVee's msg here. Somewhere along the line (it may have been folding itself) said they wanted SP3 so I downloaded and installed it. That seemed okay.

Am folding now so it seems like any new folder who might come here would not have a difficult job getting started as they would start with a working system. Mine had to be reconstructed because I needed a new hard drive. So far so good. Thank you guys for the help.

ARvee
exactly correct.

BAP, it is XP 32 bit with Service Pack 2.

I could send you SP 3 as a file to open and install but you likely do not need it for folding purposes.

I doubt highly this EVGA driver for the video card is going to bother the operating system one little bit either.

I agree with Arvee that is it standard microsoft windows warnings that are due to the fact they no longer support XP, and do not want anyone else to continue to use XP.

They want new software sales even if their operating systems like Windows 8 are just pure crapola.

Nobody wants it.

Go ahead and install that driver and see if you can get folding again. You are on the right track.

Did you get my two emails?

micro....
