i guess it isn't about whether a person is armed, then.
one begins to suspect that the protestors are demanding the police may not defend themselves or the public under any circumstances.
or maybe folks cry racism regardless of the justification.
i'm still not seeing it. where are the unjustified cases in which the police demonstrate a pattern of racial prejudice. they will shoot anyone who points a weapon at them, regardless of race.
if more black people do that sort of thing, more will get shot. but my guess is the correlation isn't with skin colour but with poverty. poor people are more desperate and will take risks wealthier people would not.
so the cure is also economic.
