Of course a lot of those Cuban immigrants, and/or their heirs, still thinks that Uncle Sam will go down there and help them to reclaim the property they lost when they fled back in the 60's and 70's. These are the people who vote for Rubio and while they might want normalization with Cuba, their definition of 'normal' is very different than what I fear reality is going to prove to be, and of course that will be used by him, and other Republicans, to minimize the significance of this long overdue change in US policy.

The Poodle Prez is doing the right thing here in wanting to establish relations and commerce between Cuba and us.

I just saw the US Senator (Rubio) from FLorida being interviewed. He is 100% opposed to any normalization of relations. When asked by the news guy what he thought about recent pools in FL showing that the majority of Floridians favored normalizing relations with Cuba - the senator responded that he did not care if even 100% of Floridians favored it - he would still be absolutely opposed. Man - talk about rash! Will this guy get re-elected down there?
