North Korea Wants UN to Probe CIA Torture
The country known for brutally terrorizing and starving its citizens and sending them to work camps says the UN should be investigating the U.S. for its torture tactics. North Korea requested that the UN Security Council hold a meeting to discuss and investigate the interrogation tactics outlined in the Senate’s CIA torture report. “The so-called human-rights issue in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) is politically fabricated and, therefore, it is not at all relevant to the regional or international peace and security,” wrote North Korea UN Ambassador Ja Song Nam.
