In order to actually reduce the deficit, either revenue must be raised, or spending must be cut.
Revenue will not be going up - America's manufacturing
jobs are going to China, and obonzo wants to drive up
the price of electricity . . which will send more of
our jobs to China. (We may already be in the position
of doing the equivalent of eating our seed corn
because the idiot in charge has no concept of how
value is created and what it means to wealth and
wealth creation.)
obonzo is trying to cut defense spending . . . at the
same time he wants to shovel more troops into Iraq.
Russia is expanding its empire, and China is rattling
sabres in the South China Sea. Iran is still working
on having nuclear weapons, and a lot of smaller
countries are worried about becoming somebody's next meal.
