Well, I am trying to understand how much you paid before Obamacare, and what you pay now, all together, and for what kind of coverage. Just a comparison so we can get a grip of what changed.

Perhaps you can give a general outline. Furthermore, why doesn't anyone take Medicare without the supplemental? That other one they took away the Medicare advantage, didn't cost at all? Did you have to have it for a doctor to see you?

I am trying to understand what and how it changed in general. Did it change because of Obamacare or before that? My insurance copay went to $30 from $15, but nothing else changed. It was $0 or $5, don't remember, before that in the early 2000s. At some point 20 years ago, I paid nothing when I went to the doctor. Even my deductible was picked up by my wife's insurance with coordination of benefits. That's all gone, loooong time ago. The changes started in the early 90s.

So, what's what is what I am after. I haven't heard anyone I know, with good jobs, complain or avoid going to the doctor. Not saying it doesn't happen, but the why and how much is important. It will never be eliminated probably, either. If we are going to blame Obamacare, we should compare with the previous untenable situation, and try to fix where it is not good, but we first have to understand what is not good, away from partisan bullshit, because it does a lot that we couldn't even imagine before. And we don't know about costs until everyone is enrolled and pays in and/or pays the fine for not having insurance. That will take at least another year or so.

I don't hate anyone. There are some folks I don't like very much but I don't hate anyone.

...the supplemental for me and the wife (which was part of my retirement package now costs me almost $400.00 a month.
