i favour independent regulation of markets while negating negative externalities.
who buys and sells pork bellies isn't my concern so long as there are many actors on a lawful, level playing field.
if markets don't operate that way, then i desire them to be fixed. but the fact that they are imperfect doesn't mean it would be better for the government to set prices. governments make poor price-setters. improving market regulation is something that must be done continuously.
