zz> But, we can't kill space, and wasting money on our own taxis to the space station is baloney.

Ya ain't too bright, is ya, zz.

Returning to 1960's technology . . when we know there
are better ways of doing things is asinine.

Space-X and their 'Dragon' is a better choice than
an upgraded Apollo space capsule.

Burt Rutan and his Space Ship One would be even better -
if it were designed to go all the way to the I.S.S.

You wanna go to Mars? Build the crew module, send it
up and dock it with the I.S.S. Build the booster
rockets to send it to Mars and back, send that up and
dock it with the crew module. Send up the crew, go to
Mars, bring them back and dock again with the I.S.S.

Wanna go again? Send up fuel, supplies, another booster,
and the crew and off they go.

I just can't see it as being sensible to send all the
stuff necessary to return the astronauts to Earth, all
the way to Mars and back.

Zim.
