Tulsa Boy, 3, Fatally Shoots His Mom
An Oklahoma woman has died after she was accidentally shot by her toddler son. Police say the woman, 26, was at home with her 3-year-old son and 1-year-old daughter when the boy grabbed a semiautomatic handgun and fired one shot at his mother. Officials say the victim’s mother-in-law, who also lives at the home, arrived to find her daughter-in-law shot in the head. EMSA paramedics transported the wounded woman to a Tulsa hospital in grave condition, and she was later pronounced dead. Child specialists interviewed the boy to help figure out what happened. Reports said that as he was was buckled into the police car, he repeated, “Mommy shot.”
