I made it back home late last night. This was definitely my last trip of the year as I will not be going back to Germany as the MRI results showed more damage than I expected. Not only was there cartilege damage to my Right knee, but there was also a 'green' fracture of the tibia just below the knee (I probably shouldn't have gone on even this last trip). Not sure what the doctor will do about that but I have an appointment with my orthopedist on Monday.
Well I fly to Chicago in the morning for what should be my last trip of the year. I'm going to my old alma mater to be a judge in a senior engineering competition. I've been doing this for the last 7 or 8 years and is usually always my last out-of-town activity of the year and it's no different this year. I know it's going to be very cold, they're predicting lows in the teens for Thursday, and I'll probably be seeing a lot of snow. I fly home Friday evening so I'll be home for Thanksgiving week. By then I'll also have the results back from the MRI on my knee so I'll know what's ahead for me there as well.
