WE used to have a steeply graduated income tax at the top which mitigated these excessive incomes. But that was during the New Deal and Fair Deal when regular Americans prospered, before the Ronnie Raygun/George Bush Tax Cuts For Rich Folks.
No CEO should be paid more than 100 grand a year. He should buy company stock and make his money off price increases. If he is good for the company then the stock will go up and he will make lots of money. AND he should buy his stock on the open market.
