The REAL question, though, is why is the price of gas $2 higher than the last time the barrel of oil was at this price level?

MADRID (MarkeWatch) — Oil futures fell sharply on Monday, after Goldman Sachs slashed its forecast for prices, predicting West Texas Intermediate crude oil prices will spend the better part of 2015 at $75 a barrel.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange, light, sweet crude futures for delivery in December CLZ4, -0.33% slid $1.20, or 1.5%, to $79.79 a barrel. December Brent crude LCOZ4, -0.75% on London’s ICE Futures exchange dropped $1.26, or 1.5%, to $84.88 a barrel.
