IBM is starting to resemble several other tech companies in our area that went bellyup: DEC, Data General, and Wang. They may be suffering the same malaise. I know that IBM did some head-slashing of consultants on an emergency basis, without too much thought about consequences. We lost two positions in a sensitive area that was operating optimally.
