You are not too bright. Ten cents an hour raised the wage from $46 a week to $50 a week. Four dollars to you is nothing. Back then it was a heck of a lot of money. The highest paid sales person, because of commissions, lost half of her paycheck. She later quit. And yes, ten cents an hour cost two people their jobs.
