I live in NY, doofus.
Great state. We do have problems, for sure, but we are educated, diverse, well employed, and live in one of the most beautiful places in the country.
Texass is like a gold rush place. When the rush is done, tumble weed follows. Been there, and rode the roads. North of Lubbock, for example it's desperation. Tumble weed, and third world look all the way to Amarillo. Not much around it either. Depressing. NY is not that, never has been, never will be. It actually pays lots of the bills of the south's third world with its taxes. Northeastern states don't need advice from those they feed.
