And I can attest to that as our August electric bill was the highest in the 27 years that we've lived in that house, virtually all of it due to A/C as we've already replaced all our lights with LED's and CFL's, installed more efficient appliances, installed double-pane insulated windows, etc. The only thing that has not been replaced in the 27 years is the A/C unit which has been serviced and is in good running order, so it's just the need to use it that has tipped the scales.
