It has always been my feeling that communities should get the kind of law enforcement they want. If they want to live in neighborhoods where there are no stores, then they should protest when the cops go after the thugs who make these store owners live in fear and their stores unprofitable. Most of them will leave and the ones that don't will charge outrageous prices and have metal bars and grates all over.
It the community doesn't want cops to enforce traffic laws, that's fine too, just don't bitch when your kids get run over while they are playing in the street.
If they don't want police patrolling the neighborhoods and keeping the thugs from taking over and forcing law abiding citizens to live in their homes cowering in fear, when a cop busts a thug make up some crap story and try to ruin his life when he does his job.
It's only the kind of law enforcement they think they want. It is what they deserve though.
Liberals are like a "Slinky". Totally useless, but somehow ya can't help but smile when you see one tumble down a flight of stairs!
