Hi BAP!
SO you keep the sides of the cases open?
Okay. That is good. Once a month blow everything out, heatsink, video card and cpu with a can of air and use the straw that comes with it. COmputers are dust magnets. FANS draw dust into them.
The reason for the suggestion regarding a small fan blowing into the case it to use that air movement with AIR from OUTSIDE the computer, which should be cooler than the air inside the case that has been heated by the heatsinks of the video cards as well as the Processor, to blow the HEAT AWAY from the inside of the case and replace it with the cooler air. Sure, it is ambient room temperature.
But likely that is a lot of degrees cooler than the air coming out of the video cards or the CPU heatsink.
It always kept my machines running a little cooler and YES, YOU ARE RIGHT, video cards do tend to run HOT, especially when they are working at 100 percent.
They don;t even have to be overclocked to get hot. Just being set to run at 100 percent will heat them up.
Cooler temps are here. Fall is coming. High here is very low 80's today. Weekend and next week it is in the 70's.
That will help your machines as well BAP!
My congrats to my teammates for their stellar performances and dedication. I admire your efforts.
As of the moment mrs. micro and I still do not have the garage built or designed.
She is wanting to replace the entry door system immediately and the last triple paned top rated vinly double hung window we have not replaced. We also are getting ready for me to paint half the house to new colors she wants.
SO, it appears the garage is going to get pushed off to next year. I may have a contractor quote me a price on erecting it complete. I was thinking of buying a package from the lumber yard and having a garage raising party. It was a good idea while it lasted.
I need new electrical service n order to do this and I must resolve a water issue in my side yard so I can run the driveway around the side of the house.
Lots to do. Hopefully all the customers I have called on and worked with will actually begin to start ordering. It is amazing how long it takes for them to finally come aboard. No matter how many problems you solve for them, it is a foot dragging party.
I never took anywhere near this time to make a change when I ran my plant. This is really enlightening.
My doctor prescribed some asthma inhalers for me to try for the next 60 days to see if my breathing improves since I came down with pneumonia some 7 weeks ago.
I am mostly over it with lingering cough but difficulty breathinng at times.
So I went to see him and we talked about it while he listened to my lungs. I must say that the daily maintenance inhaler helps. Twice a day.
I also have an inhaler to always have with me in case of asthma attack. I had one of those a few days ago, which prompted the doctor visit. In fact, I passed out on the recliner and my wife was shaking me and calling my name and I did not hear her nor could I respond. It lasted about a minute or so when I finally heard her but still could not respond.
That is a little scary. I did not know atthe time it was an asthma attack until I read about them.
Could not get my breath. That send yo into hyperventilation to try to breathe. That causes blackouts. Nice circle of events....
Anyway, I think this is under control now.
Am heading north today to Columbus and then southeast from there to another company on the way back. I have been working with both these companies for several months now. The latter one has decided to pull a competitor into the mix with me after I have solved his problem his other supplier could not.
This kinda just makes me a little upset. I have no idea if this other erson is a low ball artist with low quality crap or what. We don;t sell junk. We fix all the problems that selling junk creates and we sell quality powders that are superior to what these large corporations make and pawn off on customers. Their service is poor and expertise is worse.
SO, I will have that chat today with the second guy.
If he wants to continue his problems, he should simply use the second person he has called and I willl go help someone else who wants to be helped and not threatened by a low ball, low quality competitor.
If he is so good, why didnt he fix their huge problem that my lab and I solved in one day from the world's largest competitor????
Unbelieveable....
SO, the gloves come off and Mr. Nice guy exits the building and the businessman gets introduced to the customer.
All I can do.
See you all later!
