If only the US was aware of the outrage this sort of thing causes.

Practically speaking, this means informed people will store their data with overseas service providers. US providers will be seen to lack privacy restraints. And to trample across local sovereignty.

So in return for the benefit of access to data in a single case, US business will lose billions of revenue. GenUS.

The US' claim to exceptionalism runs amok.
