If you had actually read the article I referenced you would have seen where that issue was explained. It's NOT the result of what you're implying. When you fill a large number of entry level positions with women and then take an average of the salaries paid, while the figures will show that the average pay for women will be lower, it does NOT say anything about women NOT being given EQUAL pay when performing EQUAL jobs with men. This is the result of the demographic mix. If there were an equal number of men and women at every job description level, then these figures would be meaningful, otherwise it's just a statistical anomaly.
