...men who abuse women often grew up in homes where there fathers abused their mothers. They behave this way because they think it's ok to behave this way. There are some countries and some religions where it is taught that this is God's will. In some countries the abusive religion is so co-mingled with government that abusing women is seen as a 'right', even a 'responsibility' to keep em in line. It's a cycle of violence passed down from generation to generation and I don't know of any way to stop it. It's a damn shame, that's for sure.
