hi clo,

by all means fill in the blanks.

i do understand that you think she is brave, bright etc. to an extent, a president also has to respond to what is in front of her rather than make plans.

but she is such a creature of her ambitions and she seems to think her ambitions require her to avoid taking a stance on anything risky - that for me she comes up blank.

but you've supported her for years, so i am sure you know more than me.

i happen to like warren for precisely the opposite reason. she takes a position. she exposes herself to criticism. and so one gets a sense of authenticity out of her.

i also like jerry brown for the same reason.

others got there on their own. and in my view, she didn't.

what did she do when in office?

what are the accomplishments?

i can't think of a single thing.

the aim seems to be to occupy the office rather than to do something with it.

previously i'd have said she would introduce healthcare reform. but that happened.

she might now say - i will reform the constitution and she'd have my ear. or she might say i am going to reform the nsa but we already know she's useless on that issue. or she might say i will reform wall street but she is obviously beholden to it.

she will say platitudes about the fate of women in countries that will do nothing about it whatever she says. no one will go to war on that issue.

there's nothing important she will do. except be a woman in the office.

warren brings things to the party. she is something. we know who she is. she will take on wall street. she will support a new tax model that reduces inequality. clinton is defined by the risky positions she avoids. so that in the end, there's no there, there. of if there is, who knows what it is.
