Ephesians chapter 4
verses 1 - 13
1. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called ,
2. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
3. Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
What is that vocation wherewith we are called? We are called BY HIS NAME, CHRISTIANS, which means to be CHRIST LIKE, or LIKE HIM who loved us, and gave himself for us, and paid the penalty of our sins on the cross and has given us a home in heaven for all eternity. We are to be like Jesus. How was he? He is meek, lowly of mind, esteeming others higher than himself even though HE IS GOD. Having patience with long forbearance and remembering NOT those things others have done against us but rather forgiving them. These things are possible only through Christ and HIS power in our lives. Our natural self would not be any of those things and would lash out and get even. THIS is the CHANGE brought about by the cleansing and washing away of our sins by the blood of Jesus and being made a NEW CREATION in HIM!
Bless the Lord for HIS strength and daily cleansing of our sins and who provides all our needs for daily life....!!! Amen...
