Zim:

You seem to think the Gaza Strip is a free country, kinda like Switzerland. It's not! It's much more like the Warsaw Ghetto established by the Nazis to corral Polish Jews into one place surrounded and regulated by Nazis.

The Gaza Strip is 25 miles long and 3.5 to 7.5 miles wide, and has 1.8 million Palestinians packed into it.
Israel controls land, sea and air access into and out of Gaza. Gazans are allowed a six mile (now three mile) fishing area offshore. Fishermen going beyond this area are routinely fired upon by Israel patrol boats.

Keystone> Hamas is acting from despair and hopelessness.

Ya ain't too bright, is ya?
Not too many years ago, the Israeli's tried an
experiment in diplomacy. They gave back the entire
Gaza Strip to the Palestinians. Including lots of
irrigation systems and other goodies.

Instead of trying to create a 'Singapore on the
Mediterranean' . . . the Palestinians proceeded to
tear out all the goodies, and manufacture rockets
to launch at the Israeli's.

I got no sympathy for them.
