So i unrolled some cling film, put it on a wooden table
& waved my hand over it for a few minutes an inch over the
surface & nothing happened.....i did the same with paper
& nothing happened.....that's the result.

Is there a special type of cling film i need to buy or
a special way of waving my hand?

there you go again.

why not do the experiment i requested rather than make up a new one which proves, as everyone knows, that a rubbed balloon holds a charge of static electricity?

what i suggested was cling film and paper. separately.

how do they respond?

not with each other. but with you or some other uncharged object. don't go and put on a sweater that you've recently put into a tumbler drier or otherwise try to get the result you seem to desire.

if you want to learn the truth, place your hand (and separately a wooden spoon if you wish) an inch above a sheet of paper resting on a wooden table. if you wish, unroll parchment paper so the paper is sourced just the same as the plastic.

then see what happens when you do the same with the unrolled cling film.

look forward to hearing the result.

once you have done the experiment and you report that paper and cling film act differently, which everyone knows, we can move along to a conversation of what that means.

why not do that simple thing. why not admit nature into the discussion?

why not just start with that. so we can establish one simple thing. that static electricity is not present in equal measures in all objects of similar mass. that uncharged paper is not as attractive as unrolled plastic.

it's kinda weird what cling film does. how clingy it is. it is very different to the way paper behaves. this isn't controversial.

this doesn't need to be this hard. just do this one experiment. not a different one deliberately designed to confuse the result.

then we have an actual observation as a starting point.

and you can use that to discuss your theory.

if you are interested in the truth, then do a simple experiment and don't seek to influence the result.

not interested in your theory or mine until we have the results of an experiment.

in domaland, does paper cling to your fingers like cling film?
