Alea..........

"paper doesn't obviously do so because it isn't subject to static electricity (or at best hardly is)"

So if you rub a balloon to generate some static charge & pass
it over some pieces of paper, the paper doesn't jump off the
table onto the balloon??

Perhaps you should do this experiment first before declaring
that paper isn't subject to static electricity......

As for gravity.....whose gravity are we talking about, the
Newton gravity of mass and force or the Einstein gravity
of no mass & no force or perhaps your own defined
& explained theory of gravity.

Why do you avoid things that challenge your theory, such
as your gravitational solar system where gravitational
waves take 8 mins to hit the earth from the sun.....or
that particles are solid bits of matter & so forth.......

so you are not going to do the experiment?

why do you avoid things that challenge your theory? it's the only way to improve one's understanding. it's what science is if it is anything.

whereas avoiding engaging seems to show only an interest in assertion and not in understanding.

if your theory is any good, you'll do the experiment and think about its meaning.

if you don't, i guess i'll just assume you are not interested in whether your theory stands up.

in my view, the experiment shows that there's no obvious link between gravity and the electrostatic model. paper reacts differently to cling film. electrostatic effects are strong. gravity is weak. cling film attracts because it is electrically charged. paper doesn't obviously do so because it isn't subject to static electricity (or at best hardly is). so gravity and static electricity appear to be different forces.

until you show me otherwise i'm going to assume the electric universe model can only withstand a kitchen table disproof by ignoring it. and that would be a shame.
