But how can you stop such insanity?
You can't bomb a school full of children.

...why not?

A defeated, demoralized people will not seek peace. They will seek vengeance.

....germany and japan after WWII and the South after the civil war speak to the problems with that statement.

Netanyahu's obligation to the Israeli and Palestinian people is to make peace.

...you don't 'make' peace. Peace is what happens when reasonable people behave in a reasonable manner. If you hgave two reasonable people you will have peace. If you have one reasonable and one loon and the loon is aggressive you can only have peace at the price of slavery. Two unreasonable people? They will spend eternity pissin in each others soup.

Both sides have many Holy Rollers. God guys.
Same old same old. Black garments, crap on their heads, and of course when necessary a beatific attitude.

...organized religion is he bane of mankind.

Unless they are calling for blood and death.

....somehow folks who think they have been appointed as the spokesman for God on earth think that God wants them to smite anyone who disagress with them. My God is big enough to do his own smiting and doesn't need my advice on when to do it.

No nation can build a society in the 21st Century on the rubble and bodies of another.

...new nations are always built on the rubble of old ones, otherwise there would be no new ones.

Peace comes when enough mothers grieve at their son's graves.

...I read a story once about a jewish guy who lost a child in one of those silly ass wars they have over there. His grief and hate was such that he asked his rabbi what to do. The rabbi told him to adopt a muslim child that has no parents and raise him as a muslim. The love that developed overcame the grief and the hate. There's a lesson there but I don't know if the folks who need to understand it aren't too busy killing each other.

Blessed are the peacemakers.
They shall be called the children of God.

...and blessed are the meek for they shall inherit just enough of the earth to be buried in.

Good Evening Ribit!

When I hear Madrassas I think of the Tribal Territories of Pakistan.

You assume the Madrassa serves the same purpose in Egypt, Lebanon or Pakistan. I think you are correct.

Netanyahu's obligation to the Israeli and Palestinian people is to make peace.

The Palestinians and the Israelis are people at war with themselves, so of course the animosity between them will be intractable.
