GOP Candidate Once Caught Masturbating to Spark Plugs Has Dropped Out

24-year-old GOP candidate Jordan D. Haskins announced today that he was dropping out of the race for a Michigan state representative seat after unusual details of his prior felonies emerged — namely, that he had been arrested multiple times for breaking into government vehicles, tampering with engines, and then masturbating while the “motor was sparking and making noises.”
Haskins, who explained his felonies as the result of a rough childhood, told MLive.com that he’d found his calling through politics, but decided to drop out two weeks after the story of his past felonies came to light. “Apparently, there are some who are using my past to attack solid candidates who I consider my friends,” he said in a statement. “To them I apologize.”
