This elderly lady is not the only one who feels that our president is evil and that is so very obvious to anyone who comments on or is part of the social and political scene that we see today in this country.

...my mind isn't made up as to whether he is evil personified or if he is the dumbest sumbitch to ever crap between two heels.

The right wing hate machine!

We recently had lunch with an acquaintance of ours who made the blanket statement that Barack Obama is evil! This lady is in her eighties and her pastor informed me that she is such a devote devotee to the religion that she was brought up in that she believes this sort of thing and simply cannot let go of those old beliefs. They are more a standard for judgment for her than anything else.

This elderly lady is not the only one who feels that our president is evil and that is so very obvious to anyone who comments on or is part of the social and political scene that we see today in this country.

There is downright hatred for president Obama across this land and its reach and breadth defy description in any conventional way. If one looks at the president and what he has done for the nation there is really no rational judgment for this type of hate so we need to look toward irrationality to find its core. Is there any basis in rationality for hatred based on the color of ones skin? If so it must go all the way back to biblical times when the Christian Bible stated that slavery was basically to be condoned in the world in which it existed. People quoted the verses about slavery for ages before it was used as the basis for holding chattel property in the United States up and including the American Civil War. However, there was a fairly broad based hatred of the white president Bill Clinton when he was in office during the 1990’s and he was a southern originating person so to pin the entire hatred of Obama on race may not be entirely true.

What we feel is the basis for this hate of Obama is the simple belief that a certain type of person--white people--is losing their place in the nation and the world today. We must remember that Jews were not black and what Hitler did to them during the second world war had little to do with the color of their skin. Jewish people were used as the scapegoat for all the trials and tribulations that Germany had suffered after the first world war and they formed the basis for a hate that may still run deep in some circles even today. Anti Semitism is not an extinct term in our world today.

What we feel is fueling the right wing hate machine today in their hatred of Obama is based almost entirely on the decisions made by a group of very wealthy individuals many years ago to bring an end to the welfare state and restore the values that were prevalent in this nation last seen during the 1950’s which was the last decade when white values were unchallenged in the United States. It was a time of static social strata where people who were not of the dominant class simply knew their place and basically stayed in it. There was very little upward mobility during this time and the times before and the middle class built immediately after the second world war did not include those of color or other deviant characteristics as seen by the dominant class.

It has been interesting to see how the hate machine has used the prevalent characteristics of people to achieve its goals. They have built a hate for government and authority using the fact that many people are indeed racially tinged and prone to disliking people who are black or who manifest other characteristics such as dual languages that they cannot understand and do not like as a result of that lack of understanding. In addition, the right has used the cleavages that have occurred due to the inherent beliefs of a religious nature that many people have such as believing in creationism over Darwinist natural selection in our world. The right has used what the left has given them in regard to prayer in schools to create and large and growing isolated segment of our population who teaches away from public schools in private academies or in the home the values that are spoon fed to them by those who see value in seeing those things passed on. Much of what is taught and propagandized by the right is based on a series of lies that are entirely made up out of whole cloth. It would be difficult here to notate these items in any length because they are so pervasive that an entire universe of things have been created and now feed of the original falsehoods to create rumors and beliefs that are just impossible to refute to those who have bought into the entire program to begin with. We were sitting at lunch with a young lady the other day who firmly believes that Barack Obama is a Muslim and nothing that anyone can say to her will ever change that belief. The fact that the president is a born again believer of the Christian faith who prays daily in the oval office is non existent in her world of made up lies.

It is interesting to note that this belief system created by the right is rising to a fever pitch this long hot summer of 2014. Governor Bobby Jindal of Louisiana made a speech recently in which he stated that he effectively hated liberals and thought something should be done about them. And, some on social media are making statements that lead us to believe that they are ready to lead a revolution to restore the white race to its rightful place in the world and in the United States. One commentator that we read stated that it is time to “step on some toes” to get what they want done. The coming election in the fall of this year may be a telling blow to see if the right can gain further control of the government process that they seem to so hate. Another person that we read has stated in print that government interference is “about to come to an end.”

It is our belief that if the right wing recaptures the United States Senate this fall they will attempt to impeach and convict Barack Obama and remove him from office in early 2015. They are very quiet about that at this time but we feel that is their eventual goal so the mid term elections this year are very important from everyone’s point of view whether they realize it or not. How long we, as a nation, can stay with ballots and not bullets is a matter of great concern because people who see evil in others believe that they have all the rational that they need to do away with that perception of pure evil in their world. Yes, they hate Barack Obama because he is black but the real problem is that they do that because they are white. Obama is not hated by Latinos or Asians or other minorities in this nation. The right wing has become a very cohesive element in this nation and the question must be asked if the majority of other minorities will be willing to stand against them when the time of pure troubles comes about. They didn’t stand against Hitler in 1933.

IOVHO,

Regards,

Joe
