hi dig,
i think the offline information hierarchy is broken. who will listen to the generals after the commander in chief was fired for his performance?
most curious folks are going to read the posters who described reality with most accuracy, even if they prefer the company of those in the feel good environment. they may do so without reference. but so long as the argument is made, it doesn't matter so much who makes it.
so looking forwards, one hopes that investors will avoid the old covert relationship structure. and with luck, maybe even some of the generals will rethink how they view the world. eg i see some folks have finally adopted the theory that there may be incumbent obstructions to wave's progress in mobile. hopefully they will also realise that, with time and thought, obstructions can usually be navigated and maybe solms will do just that.
the aim now is to establish a conversation that isn't controlled from behind the curtain. or by us or anyone else. just one that is open and honest. with many flavours.
the old idea that trusted computing is somehow especially virtuous, that those who dispute its value are thoughtless, that anyone who has a different view doesn't get it, that success is inevitable in the end ... that idea shed no light on anything. it simply enabled a few folks to dominate the discussion.
the telescopic era is over. everyone should invest in spectacles.
and wearing those spectacles, my advice is that they should look around to a variety of posters with different theories to help learn what they can from them; and then discover their own idea of the marketplace and wave's place in it.
if a person cannot make their argument in the open and persuade others of its virtue, then it probably isn't a very good argument in the first place.

i'm sure snackman will at least think about your reinclusion. he must realise that the telescopic party shouldn't hold a trump power after all they have wrought. simply following technology isn't sufficient. the supply side isn't even half of the story.
