Will's premise is absurd.
Whatever status being raped is accorded a victim I would suspect he would not want for his daughter or yours.

The NOW will be around long after people refer to George as "George Who".

Victimizing the victim is a form of ignorance tinged with a myopic belief that your own personal morality defines accuracy.

I have read George Will for decades. He is a thoughtful and prolific writer.

He wrote an idiotic piece.

No grounds for removal, but it is an editorial call.

Will said progressive thought made the idea of a rape victim a “coveted status” on college campuses that comes with certain privileges, a point that earned him condemnation from the National Organization for Women and a number of Democratic senators.

...the fact that NOW and a number of democratic senators was offended tells us that he is correct. G Will will be around long after the St Louis Post Dispatch has been dispatched into the waste bin of history.
