Hi Alea.....

If an Aircraft can exceed 85% of it's maximum
operating velocity of 0.5 Mach at 2000ft & achieve
Mach 0.89 what is it's maximum velocity at 35,000ft
when it's maximum operating velocity is 0.86 Mach.
You & the simulation are then implying a 767 can achieve Mach 1.4 at 35,000ft!!!!

Do you not understand what you are implying, commercial 767's are capable of
supersonic jet fighter speeds at 35,000ft.....

This is just pure nonsense...........

hi doma,

once again, you aren't following. maximum operating velocities aren't the same thing as maximum velocities.

the 0.89 mach is a maximum velocity. the 0.55mach is a maximum operating velocity.

it's not the faa and boeing that are wrong. it is your interpretation of what they are saying.
