i see the electricians have a hypothesis that conforms with their grand theory. nothing more. no results to support the hypothesis (issues with someone else's model doesn't prove your own).
clearly nasa's working theory is different. it is that there's water in the interior. this is heated as the comet passes the sun and jets push the gas out. sounds plausible. but without the confirmation of evidence, it is also a hypothesis.
meanwhile, you seem to think the scientists had a fixed model of the composition of a comet. and that somehow this was shattered by the results of the test. whereas in fact it was because folks disagreed that they conducted the test in the first place.
when folks don't know things but have a theory, and then they test the theory to achieve results, this is a scientific approach. religious beliefs are by nature untestable.
they could probably use another comet.
by the way, electro-magnetism is not uniquely a property of an electrical universe. the thing that is unique to the electrical model seems to be to discount the importance of anything but electricity.
and in contrast to your suggestion that gravity is the only force that matters to standard physics in respect of comets, actually physicists suggest, for instance, that magnetism affects the direction of the tail.
