I would reserve judgement. It seems that some of the stuff reported to have been written by Bergdahl may have never actually existed, or at least not exactly as reported by the media. It seems that many in the Right-wing media were playing a game of 'telephone', as often occurs, where people started to report what some other pundit said but each time adding or modifying slightly what was actually stated and by the time it get to the end of the chain, sometimes having gone completely around the circle more than once, the story bears no resemblance to reality. I heard specifically that the 'letter', or journal, that was supposedly found by his fellow soldiers where he expressed his sympathy for the Afghans and his comments about deserting or leaving his post, may have been grossly misquoted in terms of what he actually wrote.

Reading some of the stuff this guy has written makes me think that this is the kinda guy who walks into a store or school and starts shooting people.

Not good.
