A top Filipino commander of the Abu Sayyaf extremist group, Khair Mundos, was arrested by Philippine security officials during a raid Wednesday. Mundos is on the U.S. list of most-wanted terrorists and authorities say he has received money from al Qaeda to fund bomb attacks. He was arrested in a slum near the Manila airport. He had been captured in 2004, but escaped in 2007. A $500,000 award was announced by the U.S. State Department in 2009 for the killing or capture of Mundos.
