Also note the David Brat only got his professorship at Randolph–Macon College after the Koch brothers paid the university a half-million dollars to establish a position for Brat and demanding that he be allowed to teach economics based on the principles set forth by Ayn Rand. This can be seen in Brat's publications which included books on Ayn Rand and her views of society and economics. That in itself is interesting since Rand was an avowed atheist while Brat claims to be a devout Christian going so far as to making the claim that his victory yesterday was foreordained by God himself (but leaving out the part about him smiting the last Republican 'Jew' in Congress).

It appears that the Republican establishment is now blaming Democrats for Eric Cantor's lose siting that Virgina has an 'open primary' and that the vast majority of the votes cast for Brat were actually Democrats voting to punish Cantor and embarrass the GOP. However, the Washington Post has reviewed the voting statistics to the election, comparing them to past elections and primaries for Virginia's 7th district as well as the mix of registered Democrats and Republicans in the counties covered by that district and pretty much blew that argument out of the water, but I'm sure that is going to be the 'official' verdict for the GOP leadership and their surrogates. After all, when has facts ever stopped the GOP from telling the story they want their sheeple to hear?
